Due to the nature of our business, we do not knowingly request or collect any data relating to children under the age of 13.

What is the legal basis to collect and process personal data?

Most data collection and processing will be based on our legitimate business interest or contract requirements in providing a service to you, requiring a service from you, or our mutual legitimate interest of employing you. 

Fulfilling our legal obligations with statutory bodies, in addition to confirming our employees have the right to work in the UK etc, form an important lawful basis of data processing at Dare. 

If some data processing requires your written consent, we will explain to you our reasons for asking for your consent. 

Please note that data may be processed under more than one lawful basis, depending upon the purpose for which the data is being used. 

What personal data may we collect?

Dare may collect personally identifying data about you, such as your name, email or home address, telephone number you used to call us and your educational history. 

Information relating to any current business role, such as a job title, your employers name and contact details. 

Your geographical location, browser name, device, operating system, internet service provider and IP address. 

We may also receive information about you from other sources, such as third party service providers, as permitted by law

Personal data may be collected directly from you via email, telephone calls, social media posting, in person at our offices or if you attend any event hosted by Dare. 

Additionally, you may send us personal information via the Site. 

Personal data may also be received from a third party, such as a recruitment agency or background screening provider. 

What about other websites?

You may find links on the Site to third party websites, including those sites hosting our social media channels. Dare does not control the privacy notice, content, cookies or links associated with any other website and is not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from the Site or Dare’s social media channels. 

In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. Browsing and interacting on any other websites subject to that website’s own terms and policies. 

How is your data used?

Dare will only use your personal data when and how the law allows us to. We may use your information to: 

• Respond to enquiries regarding our services, employment opportunities listed on the Site or general business enquires. 
• To provide you with a service. 
• To keep you informed of new products or services. 
• Analyse and help improve the Site and its security. 
• Invite you to an event hosted by Dare.

How long does Dare keep personal data?

Dare does not sell, trade or rent your personal identification information to any third party, anywhere. 

However, for operational reasons your personal data may be shared amongst both internal and external third parties. In certain situations, when consent is considered as the most appropriate lawful basis to share your information, we will explain to you our reasons for asking for your consent. 

External third parties include national financial regulators, service providers, trading counterparties, etc.

Third parties within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) are also legally obligated to treat your personal data with the same level of protection and care that we do. However, some of the third parties we engage with are based outside of the EEA. 

If we are required to transfer your data outside of the EEA, we will use the following factors in determining the most appropriate lawful basis to carry out the transfer; 

Countries that have been deemed to provide adequate protection of personal information as approved by the European Commission. 

Bi-lateral contracts approved by the European Commission, which commits the receiving third party to provide the same levels of data protection as a EEA based third party. 

For US based third parties only, confirm they are part of Privacy Shield. 

Your consent to provide your data if none of the conditions above can be applied. The possible risks of a transfer due to the lower levels of legal protection will be explained. 

Dare may also share generic aggregated demographic information obtained via Google Analytics, which is not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users of the Site, with Dare’s business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. What information is collected from the Dare website?
